#JamesBarryDiary 26/9/1876 Another very dry fine day indeed. Dan Sutherland with his team of horses hawling stone. Alex'r Gunn splitting. John McCall finishing the plastering - will be done about the middle of the day tomorrow. Water very low. I can only grind 18 Bushel of Buckwheat per day.

#JamesBarryDiary 27/9/1876 Dark all day and a small dust of rain in the latter part of the afternoon. William McBeath and David Munro building wall about the front of the mill and my Bookbindery. We finished up all our stone, and nearly finished the last wall I intend to build this summer.
