Did you know that some of the Tokyo Mew Mew merchandise from the early 2000’s glows in the dark? Here’s proof:

Rare Tokyo Mew Mew soft plastic keychain figures on top of the Character Songs Collector’s Box for the series in my bookshelf. Characters are displayed in this order: Pudding (Yellow), Mint (Blue), Ichigo (Pink), Lettuce (Green) [Glow in Dark version], Zakuro (Purple). This photo was taken with flash turned on to show the true colors of the vintage merch. In blue lighting the soft figurines are still on top of the Tokyo Mew Mew Character Songs Collector’s Box in the same order as the previous picture. No flash was used in taking this photo. The green figurine’s outfit (Lettuce) is glowing in the dark.

#nostalgia | Who else remembers Tokyo Mew Mew or Mew Mew Power? The anime and manga were my LIFE growing up.

On an old, worn out white desk sits a large moon mousepad littered with various rare and precious items. An out of print manga from the early 2000s titled ‘Tokyo Mew Mew, Volume 6’ sits on the mousepad next to my bootleg iPod classic (thank you Amazon) with a Ichigo figure on top. On the other side a finger puppet of the character Ryo(?) lays beside the book. A miniature purse and golden angel wing are also beside TMM volume 6. Four more character figures are on top of the book. ‘Tokyo Mew Mew, Volume 6’ has a smiling girl on the cover with cat ears and is wearing a maid outfit. The background color of the book is red.
