Because of my dad’s band I got to spend some time with Jed during the 80s like at the US Festival and during a KROQ Hawaii trip. He was such a nice guy and I know my dad and he remained friends. If you grew up in LA in the 80s you feel this loss.

Oh man. RIP Jed Gould aka Jed the Fish aka Jeddum Fishum. The absolute voice of #KROQ back in the day for me, introduced me to so many bands... and did a ton of the massively influential and exceedingly bizarre radio identifications, bumpers, etc. A goddamn legend. #JedtheFish

Jed was required listening when I was in middle and high school. My awareness and love of specific performers and bands can be traced directly back to listening to them on KROQ. The man was an absolute legend. He will be remembered.

Had no idea what #jedthefish was up to in recent years, but it looks like he had a blast with sound a video, and was a modular fan. Good for him and I hope the last years of his life were a joy.

I saw that Jed (The Fish, of KROQ fame) passed away.
Jed was such a fixture in my youth, and so much fun. He and his crew were always so nice when we'd all call in.
