Sheriff Tim Bacon told the commissioners the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received a $109,985 KDOT Behavioral Safety Unit grant to fund overtime patrols ($82,385), equipment ($19,600), training ($3,000), advertising ($3,000) and public education ($2,000).
