People who buy Porsches are quite often my age and grew up with pictures of mid-80s 911s on their bedroom walls.

When you look at a lot of other cars at the time, the jellymould Sierra was quite a revolutionary design, with its smoother rounded looks compared to the sharp lines of other brands, making it look somewhat futuristic, even a friend in texas didn't believe it was an 80s car, especially for a ford...

2 gtis and an Xs would suggest I'm pretty much the same as you, but my Dad had the Astra Sri with 1.8Gte engine, it was a very smooth car to drive.
