Neither candidate managed to secure the outright majority needed to win outright in Tuesday's hotly contested race, sending the decision to voters again on September 23rd. Prichard, AL - Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch has inserted himself into the upcoming Prichard municipal elections, drawing criticism from some residents who view his comments and actions as an overreach of his authority. While Sheriff Burch has stated he will not endorse a specific candidate for mayor this summer, he has made it clear that he does not support the re-election of two-term incumbent Jimmie Gardner.
