States could install Child Care Centres in Public Schools for ppl on low incomes but they don't want to upset the parasite industry exploiting everyone. Same with Jobnetwork providers. They side with them over their exploited victims. I liken it to human trafficking. Profit for misery.

I liken Jobnetwork providers & Mutual Obligation to a form of human trafficking. A 'captured' cohort being forced into demeaning & harmful activities against their will, so a toxic industry can make money out of their misery. Any wonder suicide stats among income support recipients is so high?

While not perfect (no large organisation is), the CES was way better in terms of accountability than the cargo-cult 'market' mess that is JobNetwork

Howard’s privatised JobNetwork can freeze a persons payment. A private company should never have that power.

Sure, but nobody can describe the current privatised jobnetwork as 'HELP'. In the '90's before Howard barstardised it, there used to be 'Help'. Now it's compliance & punishment. Help is offered. Punishment is imposed. It needs to be voluntary, not mandatory or it's not help, it's oppression.

I worked for a JobNetwork provider. It was phenomenally dodgy:
- getting people who'd already found a job without help in for an interview, so we could claim it
- photocopied training bumpf handouts being billed as actual classes

My mate worked at #Bunnings for 6weeks.Forced by the JobNetWork parasites .Worked his guts out Not good enough.Bunnings didn't pay him anything. Next.

An end to wealthfare concessions for the top 10%, An end to mining subsidies & increase of royalties & mining taxes, an end to corp tax evasion, an increase to Pensions & Income support, drastic reform of partisan politics. An end to Jobnetwork & Mutual obs. I'd lobby for ppl doing it the hardest.

Even so, they've left the door open so as not to upset Indue. Same with jobnetwork agencies. We know they're a failure & damaging to the captured population they lord it up over but neither LNP or ALP will get rid of 'em & return to a CES Labor Exchange model. Money talks & all we have is a vote

The privatisation of employment services. Replacing the CES with JobNetwork enriched a few, disadvantaged most and cost a fortune.
