Man kennt ja Georg Friedr. Händel
Haben sich eigentlich dessen Wege
Irgendwann gekreuzt mit Mendel?
Dafür gibt’s wohl kaum Belege
Aber kennt ihr den Pisendel?
JohannGeorg namentlich
Was, den kennt ihr überhaupt nich’?
Dessen Wege kreuzten sich
mit Antonio Vivaldis
Schon vor Mendel, Lidl
& den Aldis

This is in no way a joke I've been working with 3 folks for a year now to get museum samples for specific things. I'm a little light on Lise Meitner's direct sourced rocks (5/18)

Now if you good who Lise Meitner is obviously the Trump admin wouldn't like this exhibit right
Mine / Region Mineral Sourced Application / Notes Mindat Link St. Joachimsthal (Jáchymov), Czech Republic Pitchblende The primary residue source for the discovery of protactinium and nuclear fission (Katzin et al., 1950). Search Mindat Balangoda / Ratnapura, Ceylon (Sri Lanka) Thorianite, Thorite Sourced from gem gravels; used to discover radiothorium and map thorium decay chains. Search Mindat Uluguru Mountains, Morogoro, Tanzania Uraninite Hahn explicitly published on dating Morogoro uraninite using the rubidium-strontium method in the 1920s; Meitner analyzed the decay spectra. Search Mindat Evje / Iveland, Norway Cleveite This specific uranium-rich variety of uraninite was heavily used by the lab to study the uranium-lead decay chain and isolate isotopes. Search Mindat Johanngeorgenstadt, Saxony, Germany Pitchblende The original site where Klaproth discovered uranium. Samples from this mine were standard reference materials in the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute.
