This is the major difference between postcanon P4 and P5 protags, to me. We have every indication that P4-kun ends high school fairly well-adjusted, but I truly believe Joker joins Tatsuya on Team Flicks a Lighter Restlessly For The Rest of His Life

Panel 4: Joker's heart loudly goes "ba-bump!" as he scatters some of the cards, blushing as he's caught off guard. Panel 5: An annoyed Morgana wags his tail and puts his paws over his ears as Joker gushes "Well, it's natural to want to monopolize my time! But since it's my win, how about a little poker--" Akechi interrupts with "I'm not betting money," which Joker jeers. Panel 1: Akechi goes to shuffle the cards when Joker says "...Hey." Panel 2: Joker rests his chin on the back of his hand, his face hidden except his lips. He's framed by red as he asks "Do you feel the same? About our paths?" Panel 3: Akechi shuffles the deck as he says "...I think you're right about fate." Panel 4: Akechi finishes shuffling the red cards with a "shfff" Panel 5: Framed by an array of playing cards, Akechi and Futaba look down at a phone that's saying something in a glowing red speech bubble as Akechi remarks "But I also wish things could be different." Among the playing cards are three cards stabbed with knives: a Jack of diamonds with Akechi's face stabbed just beside his head with a bit of blood, a Jack of spades with Joker's face stabbed clear through the middle with much more blood, and finally the Ace of hearts stabbed with in the center, the heart bright red with blood as it reads "END."

This inspired by how funny I find that in polls or posts in general I see the other protags being called with their normal anime names and then Ren is just called Joker like yeah that's his name we got Narukami-kun, Makoto-Kun and... Joker-kun yeah why not (I'm guilty of this sometimes too ngl)

Herregud så kleint når du har skrapa de fleste kontoer, og står der på Joker med et kort som har blitt sperra uten at du har fått det med deg altså. Håpte å kunne handle rømmegrøt (lever seriøst kun på det) for halve uka mens jeg førsy var på Joker. Godt trygda kommer snart ass.

In my current AkeShuAke WIP Maruki is being a creep and in one long scene he goes from calling Joker Amamiya-kun, to Ren-kun, before using just Ren.

My question is will it read as him trying to ingratiate himself or will it just seem like I don’t understand Japanese honorifics?
