When Wilhelm Marr changed judeophobia into antisemitism he did so by arguing that the Jews were not a religious community but a people united by blood. This meant even if they converted to Christianity they still had "Jewish blood", the Nazis promoted the same framing, and so did the Zionists!

I try to differentiate antisemitism, which can be somewhat unwitting, from Judeophobia. Conspiracy theories in general trend towards antisemitism, and the slippery slope here is moving from 'bipartisan support for Israel is linked to Zionist institutions' to 'Zionists control what happens'.
In theory there may be people who obsess over “Zionists” controlling American politics who aren’t anti-Semites but at this point I pretty much assume anyone speaking this way is one step away at best from going full ZOG.

One reason why i'm not going back to Twitter is seeing occasional glimpses of former mutuals' posts in there and finding several instances of rank judeophobia, and they seem complicit in normalizing it or not doing anything to push back on it
