The Keepersworn started as the bodyguard for, well, the Keeper—the realm's sovereign. But over time they assumed responsibility for the Citadel's upkeep, which in wartime would expand to maintaining supply networks, and from there the study of logistics and strategy. (1/3)

First up on the last up is yes, the Traveler's Guild I fleshed out during my #Juniplex is their larger defense force. Standing armies aren't much of a thing here.
It was tried once upon a time, but they took their equivalent of a world war and went "wow this is terrible, actually never again."

I think it may work similar to the bounty system I touched on I think during Juniplex. Given the impact that actually having to kill, particular your own species (human:human), it may have to be either a special division that knows what they're being sent to do or handled to the Traveler's Guild.
