I adore the first Lupin series because there's this juxtaposition of incredibly talented animators working on what seems to be a shoestring budget. It punches above its weight. It also has the goofiest soundtrack.

I've always found this juxtaposition forced and partisan. The fraud scandals happened against our state government, & was done by private actors who have been caught and prosecuted. OMS happened against our citizenry, and was done by the federal government. They killed people. Disappeared children.
