⬇️それぞれ←がTsubaki.3 flashで、→は普通のTsubaki.3となります

Similar terracotta plaques are known to have been used to decorate funerary klinai (couches) placed in Hellenistic tombs. Funerary klinai decorated with reliefs of ivory, gold, and glass have also been discovered in the 4th c. BCE tombs of the Macedonian kings at Vergina. 2/
A reconstruction of one of the funerary klinai (couches) from a royal Macedonian tomb at Vergina, showing how pieces of ivory, gold, and glass would have been attached to a painted wooden frame. Photo: RunningGreece.eu Reconstruction of one side of a funerary kline (couch) from Vergina. Here, we see pairs of gilded griffins tearing apart deer. Other decorative elements - palmettes and geometric shapes - may be made of ivory and glass. Archaeological Museum, Pella, Central Macedonia, Greece.

Monterozzi Necropolis of Tarquinia (Etruscan 6thC & 5thC BCE) 🏺
A field with mounds with doors. dramatic white clouds in blue sky TOMB OF THE LEOPARDS The tomb consists of a single chamber with a double slope ceiling roof which is accessed through a stepped corridor (dromos). The ceiling is decorated in a checkerboard pattern on the slopes and concentric circles on the central beam (columen). On the back pediment, on either side of a small tree, the two leopards who give the tomb its name face each other. On the back wall there is a scene of a symposium in which men and women take part, stretched out on convivial beds (klinai) and served by young naked servants. A procession of musicians, painted on the right wall, and servants with pottery on the left wall converge towards this scene. The modest quality of the paintings, with disproportionately built characters characterized by rigid movements, is however masked by the fresh vivacity of the rich polychromy. Year of discovery: 1875 Dated: around 470 B.C TOMB OF THE JUGGLERS In the pediment, on the sides of the support bracket of the central beam, there are a red lion and a blue panther. In the central band of the back and right wall scenes of funeral games in honour of the deceased are represented, in which he himself is present, on the right, seated on a "sella curule", a typical chair of magistrates, perhaps an allusion to magistrate offices filled during his life, while watching the performance of a young man about to throw rings at the tip of a large candelabrum balanced on the forehead by a richly decorated woman; present in the scene, behind the woman, a flautist, another naked young man and two children defined only by the silhouettes, perhaps two servants of the deceased. On the right wall, dancers and a syrinx player. On the left wall some male figures that are more difficult to interpret: a man running, another, probably a priest, supported by a naked young man and a decidedly singular figure of a man defecating, an act interpreted with apotropaic value, accompanied by an inscription, the name of the character painted aranth hercanasa, that is Aranth slave of Heracanas, perhaps the author, of Greek origin, of the paintings of this and other Tarquinian tombs. The theme of acrobats and jugglers may have influenced the painter of the Monkey tomb in Chiusi, a few decades later. Year of discovery: 1961 Dating: ca. 510 B.C. BETTINI TOMB (TOMB 5513) The columen is painted with large rosettes and ivy leaves, the slopes with red bands in imitation of wooden beams. On the walls a large figurative frieze with scenes of banquets and dances set in the open air; on the back wall there are two male couples lying on convivial beds (klinai), looked after by three maids and a young naked cupbearer next to the laid table; on the side walls dance scenes. The style of the paintings is to be compared with the Tomb of the Triclinium, whose frescoes are currently exhibited in the Museum of Tarquinia following their detachment for conservation reasons; both are thought to be the work of the same workshop. Year of discovery: 1967 Dating: ca. 450 - 440 B.C.

We also know no Athenian wife could behave like this. We know it is a dining room because one of the workers has positioned herself on a table. This depiction of an orgy is a little kinkier than others because the men use a table, instead of a klinai—couch—for SexPlay.
