I completed the Kaitaka I wove to honour my late father, TeRangikaiamokura Hetet . The first place I took the Kaitaka to was to lay on one of the Waka dad carved. This served as a form of Karakia - an acknowledgement of my dad and of the Kaitaka and its story.

How incredible was all the kākahu 😍 that kaitaka ahh. I can only dream (and work towards) making such stunning kākahu. I've chosen today to do the aho tapu on my newest piece so I will be spending my Matariki/ Puanga weaving for a full day with friends

Took a nap, ended up having another "flowing" (that's how I describe that goes form one set/vibe/scenario/character to another and another) dream and beside some interesting horror stuff (wasn't a nightmare to me tho) it decided to hit me with split moment of kaitaka. That's why I don't nap usually
