This is what the big tech companies do. Google has acted against the environmetal laws in Finland. And not only the current cases (Muhos & Kajaani), as it has been revealed Google destroyed protected forest in Hamina some years ago - and got away with it.

Not excusing Google here but important context:

"Nearly two years ago, the Finnish Government let Metsähallitus, the state forest enterprise, sell Google four parcels of state forest at Muhos and Kajaani, 1,400 hectares of mostly commercial forestry land sold as raw land for more than €27 million."

🍂 Even though I didn't exactly get up to much, and despite the weather getting awfully autumnal already, I still had a nice time back home last week... 🇫🇮
On the Kaupunginlampi (literally 'Town's Pond' in English) pond in Kajaani, Finland. On the right a gravel path lined with trees on the right side of the track, some on the left side as well, going next to a pond (on the right). Fallen autumnal leaves on the ground on the path and on the grass lining the track. One of the trees on the right side of the path on the pond's edge is leaning heavily towards the right on top of the water. Cloudy sky up above. View of the ruins of Kajaani Castle in Kajaani, Finland from the northern shore of Kajaani river. Finished in 1619. The northernmost stone castle in Europe at that time. Blown up by the Russians in 1716 during the Great Northern War. Rocky riverbank on the foreground on the left. A small island in the middle of a river in the background with ruins of a stone castle and a tree. A footbridge going from the left side of the river onto the island. A road bridge crossing the river on top of the ruins. Trees with autumn foliage lining the river on the right. Apartment buildings appearing in the background on the left side of the river. Cloudy blue sky up above. View from the tip of Kesäniemi spit towards the town center in Kajaani, Finland. Rocky riverbank in the foreground at the bottom. A tree branch hanging from the top in the middle of the frame. The waters of the Kajaani river heading into the distance with tree covered river banks on the both sides of the river. Town center's skyline barely visible in the distance. Cloudy sky above blocking the sun (on the top left) from shining. View from Urho Kekkonen park in Kajaani, Finland towards the church. On the foreground in the middle of a tiled circle surrounded by gravel path a twisty corkscrewlike metal monument for the eight president of Finland Urho Kekkonen (1900-1986). In the background some tall spruces in the park and on the churchyard, a row of parked cars on the side of a street going in between the park and the churchyard and a cream coloured wooden church with a brown roof and a spire. Hazy light blue sky up above.
