I then found out those bubbles are its selling point and that it's actually a Zeiss Softar II filter used for portraits.

Sadly the only 67mm lens I have is a crappy 5€ Kalimar MD 28-200mm (that still needs a UV filter), but I'll test it at some point, even though I'm crap at taking photos of people

After being MIA in the mail for two whole-ass weeks, this questionable hunk of glass and steel finally arrived! Doesn't seem to focus very crisp-ily, but for the price of a Taco Bell dinner for two it's not totally unexpected. Not gonna win a Pulitzer but great for spying on neighbors!

Fun fact: my Zenit-B was designed for export by slapping a Kalimar SR100 badge on it.

The glue dried up
So I keep it separate these days. It also means the Helios 44-2 has a focusing scale in feet.
