The original English dub of SON OF GODZILLA literally translated the name of the monster Kamacuras, which is a gigantic praying mantis. In Japanese the name is made out of the kanji for "giant" and "mantis". This led to the dialogue in the scene where the monster is named being rendered like:
Name your fav unintentionally hilarious moment in a film.

In my head it would be so funny if everyone theorized about all these different kaiju in Godzilla -0.0 and it just turned out to be Kamacuras or Gabara out of nowhere.

godzilla final wars 2004
weird and campy, appropriately so as a send-off to the franchise at this time. i think it succeeds at trying to incorporate elements of everything from the past 50 years while also being parodic of the action film genre, just real stupid with a touch of soulfulness.

Are Kamacuras women man-eaters?
All these kaiju are featured in my Godzilla Kaiju book available on my website. 44 pages. 8.5" x 8.5" full color cover, black and white interior.
DM me to purchase the original 6"x8" art.

Kamacuras, the giant praying mantis kaiju who attacks Paris, first appeared in Son of Godzilla. It also appeared in All Monsters Attack, making it another monster from the Showa Era who hadn't appeared on screen in thirty years. #FFBMovieNight

Ya’ll really enjoyed the Godzilla from yesterday, so here’s that same design/cartoon style trying to enjoy an island retreat (unsuccessfully). I’ll have some new stuff for #kaijune soon:)

this could be good!! i was thinking larvitar since it's the first stage of the line but cranidos would visually fit better i think. rillaboom/king kong, clauncher/ebirah, and lokix/kamacuras were also thoughts i had, but admittedly they're stretches (doubly so b/c lokix is already a kamen rider ref)

If I had to pick a favorite part in Attack of the Clones, it would be these three beasts; the Reek, Acklay, and Nexu.
A YouTube comment pointed out that if you're a Godzilla fan, you'd see these three as being like Baragon, Kamacuras, and King Caesar, respectively.
Naturally, I would agree, lmao.

And finally MechaMothra, I was also going to add Destoroyah, 1954 Godzilla, MireGoji, Manda, Kamacuras & Kumonga, But they aren't confirmed yet, I mean Destoroyah has female crab party on their chest, but it's not confirmed if they are a she or a he, So they might be a they.
