Beni-Enma’s weapon in her third ascension is likely intended to be a kanabou, both a real weapon used by samurai and a mythical one used by oni.

There’s a Japanese idiom “giving a karabou to an oni” which means “making the strong stronger”. Fittingly, this Beni is a top tier unit!

Someone on the bird site RTd a bunch of Surge drawings by me so that reminded me to upload some here. Still happy everyone enjoys this character I led the design process on
Surge with her hair down and the prototype long dress/poofy jacket/ripped-back sneakers combo outfit she had in concept art I did, with her baseball-styled kanabou Surge and Amy Rose wearing each others' clothing and hairdo. On top, the clothing is exchanged normally; On bottom, the same drawing, but the colours are changed so Surge has Amy's dress but in yellow, and vice versa. Kevin strikes me as a kanabou kinda guy. you dont need to be light on your feet and he can utilize his size and weight to his advantage with blunt force. Also because teehee very normal about big guys with big clubs :3333
