These beautiful sake barrels, called kazaridaru (飾り樽), are often seen at Shinto shrines. They are offerings from sake brewers, symbolizing prosperity and a strong bond between people and deities. Fun fact: Though they look full, they're usually empty!

A miko (巫女) walking past some kazaridaru (飾り樽). These barrels are often used as symbolic offerings in shrines and represent gratitude and prayers for a good harvest or protection. As a rule, they no longer contain sake, but are a ritual and aesthetic element.

Esses barris são chamados de kazaridaru, e são barris decorativos mesmo.
