In my time the vision of Barnton Quarry was accuracy, but now it's Being filled with what is cheap or available.

If you squint closely at the map on the wall of the Sector Controllers Cabin (left side) you will make out the outline of the south east coast and the Thames estuary.
There were 4 R4 buildings built:
Caledonian - Barnton Quarry
Northern - Shipton
Eastern - Bawburgh
Metropolitan - Kelvedon Hatch

I grew up near the government’s bunker in Kelvedon Hatch, although nobody knew it was there at the time. Very sobering museum now. Cardboard coffins for bodies to be put outside and rifles to keep the general public away. All the Protect & Survive stuff was just to give people something to do.
