I took this pic in Kenosha Pass in Colorado. I edited it to look like a children's book artwork.

"Forgotten Tracks at Kenosha"

Forgotten rails curve into a field of autumn gold, leading toward aspens, ridges, and a storm-lit sky over Kenosha Pass.

In the foreground, rusted railroad tracks curve through a field of tall, golden-brown grasses. The wooden ties are uneven, many broken or missing, with small bushes and brush sprouting between them. The rails lead the eye toward the middle of the frame, where a wide band of aspens glows a brilliant yellow at the edge of a forest. Beyond the trees, layered ridges of dark green pine rise into the mountains, their slopes brushed with patches of autumn color. Above them, heavy blue and gray clouds push across the sky, broken by light that illuminates ridges and valleys in shifting patterns. The image captures the quiet intersection of human history and natural cycles. The abandoned tracks tell of movement that has ended, while the aspens and mountains speak to endurance and renewal. It feels like a meditation on impermanence—what fades, what remains, and how both are carried forward in the land.

Enjoying the cold because it's better than thinking about the orange mushroom. #Colorado #Breckenridge #KenoshaPass
