Here’s a lovely comma butterfly, with the white mark on the underside of the wing clearly showing why they got their name!

Bough Beech saw Greenshank (year tick) 7 Green Sandpipers, 4 Common Sandpipers, 1 LR Plover, Cetti's Warbler, 2 Lesser Whitethroat and 2 Raven. Good numbers of Butterflies on the wing including my first Common Blues of the year ##kentbirding ##kentwildlife ##kentbutterflies

Nice afternoon looking for Butterflies with 14 species seen,with a couple each of White Admiral, Silver-washed Fritillary, Purple Emperor, Purple Hairstreak, Small Copper, lots of Marbled White and over 100 Large Whites in one field and a Pyramidal Orchid #ukbutterflies #kentbutterflies #kentnature

The Wednesday Club & Jacob escaped the fog at Dungeness, with a trip to Orlestone Forest.
The main focus was Large Tortoiseshell, of which at least two were seen.
Also good views of Goshawk & Crossbill were had. Well done to Owen for the cake & Martin for driving.
