He'd brought up several generations of chicks and would have been at least 13 now - which is a good age for a wild Kestral, though as he hasn't been seen since the Summer it seems his watch is probably over. Brockholes just won't be the same without him.

This is Kevin, the resident male Kestral at Brockholes NR. I encountered him on my first visit to the reserve back in 2014 when he flew over my car as I arrived, and I'd normally spot him somewhere around on every subsequent visit.
