The #LongRyders have been confirmed for KilkennyRoots Festival next May so I’m celebrating with an in-depth look at the band’s debut album Native Sons on the radio show tonight 9pm🇬🇧. Join me and band leader Sid Griffin for a journey back into the 80s Paisley Underground LA scene then.

I'm officially on route to #Ireland to film sessions at #kilkennyroots! 🚌🚅🛫

Special thanks to my patrons on Patreon who supported this trip.

First show tonight, first two sessions on Friday morning.

The Long Ryders have a BIG 2026 brewing up ☕️and
@KilkennyRoots
Festival is a huge part of it. Tickets are available kilkennyroots.com/booking/the-... so get Set Theatre, ready to rock, and go buy 'em before they are gone, Daddy, gone. 🇮🇪 We gonna rock The Republic like a hurricane you can't tame!

Best gig of this Peter Case tour was, so far, tonight in Belfast. Author-singer Dan Stuart joined us and I smiled so much my face hurts. Tomorrow AND Sunday we again cross pollinate at KilkennyRoots festival at Ryan’s Bar so pop along! And get ready to sing. 🪕Learn Dead Flowers by the Stones, ok?

On my way to Ireland. Got the cameras through customs. See you tomorrow @kilkennyroots! Right now, I've 13 sessions planned with artists on the line up and Irish musicians. We'll see what we'll end up with. Can't wait to be back.

HORSEBATH X THE INFLUENCES, part 1

After meeting some of @horsebathband at @takerootfestival last year, I was sure I wanted to film them the next chance I got, which happened to be at @kilkennyroots in Ireland last month.

HORSEBATH have more European shows coming up later this month, in Paris, Amsterdam and Rotterdam among others. Go see them, their show at @settheatrekilkenny was one of my highlights of #kilkennyroots this year.

This time next week I'll be back in #Kilkenny, filming sessions at @kilkennyroots for theinfluences.com!

Please support this trip!

You can support this trip, by contributing on the Patreon (patreon.theinfluences.com), you can buy one (or more) 'tickets to Ireland' there.

Just back from an excellent week at #KilkennyRoots festival of Americana music, where I managed to see 15 gigs over the four days. Here's a thread of my pics.

Some really great shows at #KilkennyRoots this year (as every year)
