Yes (and I think I saw that movie, too, long ago), but I understand it was a dramatic license stand-in for the actual prison of that story (in Britain). The one I saw in-person & film is Kilmainham Gaol in Dublin.

Just finished A Rebel And A Traitor. A brilliant and riveting read. Ever since visiting Kilmainham gaol in 2015, I've been fascinated in The Easter Rising.
I was rooting for Casement to dodge the hangman's noose!

Remembering Anne Devlin
‘She was tortured, imprisoned (becoming the first female political prisoner at Kilmainham), held in solitary confinement, interrogated & threatened … but she still held out, refusing to betray any of the others involved in the rebellion’ www.irishexaminer.com/opinion/colu...
Clodagh Finn: Anne Devlin was never just Robert Emmet’s housekeeper. It’s time we told her story
A new children’s book and the work of historian Mícheál Ó Doibhilín are helping restore Anne Devlin’s place in Irish history

Congrats on 20 years. October's good timing there, it's fallow deer rut season in Phoenix Park, worth an evening walk out (stay well back, they mean it). Also book the Book of Kells and Kilmainham Gaol before you land, both sell out fast in season.

The Guinness place is the biggest tourist trap of all. Skip it and do the tour of Kilmainham jail instead.

He should be taken to Kilmainham Gaol and executed as a disgrace for that.

Kilmainham Gaol (political) prison

The GPO is cool and very easy to get to.

Kilmainham Gaol is also definitely worth a visit when you're in Dublin.

I'm incredibly biased, but I like Trinity College and the Book of Kells a lot (but the latter is a bit overpriced imo).

The National History Museum and Collins Barracks are good.
