#Kilmar—there
Between Kilmar Abrego Garcia and the DOJ official who tried to extort a plea out of him with threats of trafficking him to Uganda, there is someone who committed a crime. But that someone isn't Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia describes being tortured in the El Salvador mega prison, where Trump sent him without due process — admittedly by mistake.

As un-American as it gets. And others are still there.

Before the election, I warned that there is no safe haven under authoritarianism.

If they can ship Kilmar Abrego Garcia to a foreign prison—accused of no crime, with no trial—they can do it to anyone.

Americans of conscience must stand against this now.

Happy Friday. There are 326 days until the midterm elections. Kilmar walks, so much for states’ rights and Trump’s war on Christianity.

ICYMI: There were big protests today. And for many of the protesters, Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s case was emblematic of what they consider to be a broader attack on the rule of law, due process, and democratic principles.

There has been basically no (public) reckoning with the democratic strategists who said that "raising the salience" of immigration/deportations in ~March would help Trump, which was obviously wrong at the time and has been proved wrong over the last 6 months www.gelliottmorris.com/p/kilmar-abr...
