101) Cyberpunk Edgerunners (Rewatch)

Third watch so I could pull a friend into watching it too, still just as excellent as I remember it. I'm so excited to start Edgerunners II with them very soon. #Kimo2026

103) Chicken Invaders The Next Wave 2nd Episode

Huh. Didn't expect buying Chicken Invaders 2 also gave you its remake in the third game's engine, with a dizzying amount of quality of life features, unlockables and customizability. No complaints so far. I think I prefer the new balancing. #Kimo2026.

102) Wildwood

Most ambitious stop-motion animated movie I've seen. An incredible epic with a mature down-to-earth core story. Great voice talent and humor. Would have preferred it be longer to further flesh out the world, but it's already quite long as is. Instant new Laika classic. #Kimo2026

105.5) To add to the confusion, Chicken Invasion Remastered (at least as designated by Steam) is the remake in the third game's engine, while Chicken Invasion (2023) is the remaster, although the in-game title says Chicken Invaders Remastered. I love video games. #Kimo2026

100) My Hero Academia Vigilantes (Season 2)

it's still good and I appreciate its focus on reacclimating troubled people back into society and its boots-to-the-ground approach with its drama. There's a pretty great flashback arc to the high school era that doesn't overstay its welcome. #Kimo2026

104) Chicken Invaders Remastered

The first Chicken Invaders is too simple, outdated and evil in its design. I wouldn't personally say I like it. While the remake helps tremendously with its new improved mechanics, it overcorrects by making the game too easy. Play the sequels instead. #Kimo2026

99.3) This is my first Donghua movie. It's clear it has inspirations from iconic anime like Dragon Ball Z, but bites off more than it can chew by trying to establish a large lush world within a 90 minute runtime, and focuses more on "thing happens" with very thin and threadbare themes. #Kimo2026

99) The Legend of Hei | 罗小黑战记

Gorgeous animation, excellent music and great designs in a unique setting, mixed with an incomprehensible yet basic plot, too much action, confusing choreography and cameras, and poor use of slow character moments to properly develop them. Decent first effort #Kimo2026

99.6) I do commend it on being as ambitious as it was, even if it needs lots of refinements. This is a newer section of Chinese entertainment so I'll be a bit lenient with my criticism. China is capable of amazing cinema like the Ip Man movies, and I'd like to see that in Donghua too. #Kimo2026

98) Fullmetal Alchemist Conqueror of Shamballa

Certainly makes the most of the series' controversial ending to deliver a fun romp for a finale, even if it falls flat in places, like glossing over the complex moral dilemmas and themes the show brought. Gorgeous fluid animation. It's fine. #Kimo2026

97) Fullmetal Alchemist (2003)

A lot of the excellent bones from FMA:B are here regarding themes and politics, even if far less refined, with its own unique cool ideas as well. So many of the fight resolutions feel unearned, and the ending feels cheap and unsatisfying. Still overall good. #Kimo2026

96) Little Witch Academia (Rewatch)

A lot better than I remember. Although quite silly in parts, the humor works quite well and manages to stay charming and whimsical throughout. Very colorful cast. Watched with the English VA this time and I didn't like it however. #Kimo2026

94) Resident Evil (2026)

Brilliant. Nails the vibes of survival horror excellently in spite of having almost nothing to do with the source material. Incredible tense pacing with clever spacing and use of jumpscares. Great campy humor, impeccable cinematography and crunchy sound design. #Kimo2026

90) The Legend of Aang - The Last Airbender

On my boycott list due to Paramount's parent company, Skydance's, political affairs. Money was not spent on this movie, in addition to my abstinence from leaving a review or recommendation. #Kimo2026

92) The SpongeBob Squarepants Movie (Rewatch)

Still such a fantastic movie that's extremely gleeful and hilarious, even with my limited experience with Spongbob. Getting to revisit this has made me realize that this is an adaptation of The Odyssey, which makes me love this even more. #Kimo2026

89) Spider-Man: Brand New Day

Although this is normally on my boycott list due to Disney being on the BDS list, I made a rare exception for a friend due to having no alternative options for our hangout. I'm logging that I watched it and will abstain from giving a review or recommendation. #Kimo2026

93) Total Drama Island (Season 1)

Great fun that's unafraid of pushing the needle and with a colorful cast, though I can certainly see all the improvements even in Disventure Camp's initial season. Definitely the highest gross-out humor count I've ever seen in a cartoon, to its detriment. #Kimo2026

91) The Princess Bride

Charming, whimsical and full of great practical effects. Excellent acting across the board. May need to rewatch the second act as I fell asleep after an extremely tiring shift at work, but I definitely remember enjoying this even if I don't quite adore it. #Kimo2026

88.5) After 9 years, I finally finished Sailor Moon. Overall, while the lackluster last two seasons still have some merit, the the rest of it is incredible, especially Super! Parts have aged, but it overall manages to stay fun, potent and powerful! Definitely see why it's so influential! #Kimo2026

88) Sailor Moon Stars

Awful. Too short with not enough fun filler episodes. Targets barely matter and new characters have the most baffling logic. Other Sailors are given very little screentime. Chibi Chibi is the worst and adds nothing. At least it gives SuperS a much better finale. #Kimo2026

86) My Hero Academia Vigilantes (Season 1)

Much more interesting story within the MHA universe, even with some strange logic in places. Engaging cast of beaten down adults, with far better remixes of ideas from the original that work much better here. Intrigued to keep going. #Kimo2026

87) Armored Warriors

Difficulty cheapness aside, this is the coolest fucking video game. Batshit insane mecha action that never ceases to be rad as fuck. There's far too many gigabrained ideas in this game to summarize in this post, but if you love beat 'em ups, playing this is a must. #Kimo2026

85) The Shawshank Redemption

Incredible movie with a needed slow pacing to help you get engrossed in its world. Excellent acting from everyone across the board and great cinematography to tell such a compelling and powerful story with a strong message. Thank you Josef Fares and Emma. #Kimo2026
