At a July 10 special meeting the Kings County Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to place four vacant Avenal City Council seats on the Nov. 3, 2026 general-election ballot, consolidating the special elections and citing statutory timing; county counsel confirmed recalled officials cannot run to succeed themselves for those vacancies.
