I managed to catch it on theatres and loved every minute of it. It may, in fact, join my list of all-time favourite horror flicks, alongside Demon Knight, Truck R Treat, and Killer Klowns From Outer Space.

Those trolls are SHOCKINGLY terrifying. Like, it's an Ernest movie. They did not have to got that hard. I found out years later that a lot of them are repainted Killer Klowns from Outer Space.

This is difficult cause the truly terrifying 1 was Terminator 2 (the bomb drop) but I found these to be up there as well: Poltergeist, Watership down, and Killer Klowns from Outerspace. The difference is as a child I understood reality pretty well, and knew a bomb drop was realistic vs some ghost.
