Kludde, the shape shifter
Kludde is a mysterious figure in Flemish folklore who strikes terror into the hearts of everyone he meets. He can shapeshift into a dog, a horse, a cat, a bat, and even a tree. In most tales, he forces people to carry him, growing in size until the weight becomes unbearable.

#CreatureOfTheDay is the Kludde, from Flanders. An evil black dog that approaches in the least evil way possible: hopping on hind legs. Lunges at the throat of travelers & can take the form of a cat, bat, or frog. You can tell something is off because the animal will be on fire.

This is the book that inspired me to write my novel 'Chains'. Such a great story. And the cover - perfection. I remember reading 'Sour Candy' and thinking 'what an interesting demon, I wonder if I can create a demon like this and release it upon the world'. Thus, the Kludde was born.

Kludde- a Winged humanoid wolf like monster with the power to alter and bend it's shape at will into an assortment of dangerous creatures should it get in dire straights. They fly like a bat, hunt in packs, and are a dangerous lycantrope sub-species.
