Several roads in the Carrbridge, Dava, Grantown-on-Spey and Knockando areas remain closed due to [the] fires. The A939, A940 and B9007 all have closures.

A large Speyside estate has quietly changed hands. The 6300 hectare Knockando Estate sits to the north of the river Spey just upstream from Aberlour. Historical owned by the Clan Grant, the estate was acquired by a member of the Wills tobacco family, Major Sir David Wills in 1962. 1/5

In a whisky related factoid, Dalbeallie station next to Tamdhu distillery on Speyside was also renamed to Knockando to remove confusion with Dalbeattie station in Dumfries and Galloway.
