A white-bellied bustard (or Korhaan) foraging through the dry grasses of Serengeti in mid-August. The wee fellow gave me the side eye, then sloped off deeper into the savanna.

A fairly large bird, wandering through the dry grass in Serengeti. This is a small bustard, as these birds go. A cousin of this white-bellied bustard (also known as the white belled korhaan) is the Kori Bustard, which is likely the heaviest flighted bird in the world.
