For our final Tuesday, I chose one of my favorite tropes, featured in many genres.
Does your WIP have a found family, whether it’s an established group of ride-or-die friends or a ragtag team of miscreants with a shared goal? Tell us about them!

An October Prompt Game of Miscellaneous Proportions
TUESDAY TROPES
[Graphic of an old man wanderer, with a sack on his back and a long walking stick, and a black cat]
Prompt:
27 | Tell us about a found family in your story. Who are the characters involved? How did they come together? What qualities do they bring out in each other? Feel free to share a snip.
[Graphic of a talking crow]
This trope is near and dear to my heart, as I myself have a chosen family. The ones whom I call family are a tree frog who cannot stay out of trouble, a bossy butterfly who always thinks she knows best, and a shockingly dim-witted black cat. All inexplicably and horrendously lovable.

Dot the bulky Korred (rock Fae) is the most empathic of Bethany's companions. A muscly sweetheart who is the heart (especially in Freudian & Jungian terms). Adelais the Cobold is the least empathic, as she represents the brain & discipline 🧵1

Jah. No meditsiinis ja hooldusabis on palju ühekordset.

Vähemalt on nüüd kõrred olemas.

@jennlyons.bsky.social ok so if S'arric is energy, Korred is entropy, Ompher is matter, Taja is probability, Tya is ithon, or self-possesion, control, willpower, and agency, then what concepts are Argas, Thaena, and Galava tied to?

Kaet had several dalliances with the storykin denizens of Cat's Cradle. Kaet does not know that their story lingered when she was freed, taking new life and pieces of their many personalities in a patchwork form called Glambrose... 🥚

I'm gonna design some feytouched korred-esque designs for folks to play in their DnD games~ I had a lotta fun playing Druzy, I want others to have a similar oppurtunity~
Korreds are such underrated fae & there's something uniquely fun about being able to grow out 20ft hair at will~

Had a blast making this today. Lots of notes for future tweaks and features I'd like to see, but really happy with what I could do so quickly with my new little animation app.

Fond memories of my dad reading this to me when I was young, A Field Guide to the Little People. An encyclopedia of “elves,” the old world European types. Wonderful art that I’m thinking of playing with to test out my new animation editing tool.
