My dad passed today, w/Kotzebue Sound air blowing over him and a smile on his face. At 88, his started life living on the Noatak River and migrating to the coast to hunt and fish, before he moved to Kotzebue with his folks. An excellent subsistence hunter and commercial fisherman, he will be missed.

Hey, KOTZ in my hometown could use some support. This one radio station serves an area the size of Indiana, as in, it's the only radio station in the entire area. The area is also primarily Inupiaq.

It finally happened. A huge storm hit Kotzebue. My dad's house is on the beach side of town. The water was so high that my cousin had to evacuate my dad. Neighbors front porch was washed away, and that before high tide. I am so glad my cousin was there. Please keep the town in your thoughts.
