I spent a wonderful 10 days travelling around as a tourist in my homeland of Kerala in India. Kerala offers such a wide variety of experiences, with so many areas of natural beauty including mountains, forests, lakes, backwaters and beaches. It’s truly a paradise on earth…

Cattle are grazing among the tea plants but apparently they only eat up the weeds, as the tea leaves are bitter. Indian elephants in the wild in the forests of Thekkady, Kerala. These boats were used until the latter years of the last century for transporting cargo, and these were converted into Tourist boats once they were no longer in use from the 1980s onwards, once roads were better developed.
