In Kutchan wird schon fleißig für den dereinstigen Hokkaidō Shinkansen aufgeständert, der irgendwann ab den 2030er-Jahren bis nach Sapporo fahren soll.
Einstweilen werden die vielen (auch viele ausländische Touri-)Reisenden auf Kapspur weiterbefördert, in diesem Zug nun bis Otaru. #Honkkayūshū

A Chinese tourist couple who apparently only speak Chinese wandered off into forbidden backcountry at a ski resort in Kutchan, Hokkaido. The man called the 110 emergency line, reporting in Chinese that they'd both fallen off a cliff and were stuck. Both were safely rescued.

In Oshamanbe fährt ein einigermaßen zu kleiner Triebwagen etwa 4x weiter der Hakodate Line entlang bis nach Kutchan. Wie ich just eine halbe Stunde nach der Fahrt bei DSO lese, soll die Strecke nach Eröffnung des Hokkaidō Shinkansen in den 2030er-Jahren eingestellt werden. 🥺 #Honkkayūshū
