Leaning into New Kyoto is risky but there're also inspired takes. I never imagined seeing Usui vs. Kaoru/Misao/Yahiko, his fight vs. Saito in the OG series is iconic. Aoshi is just relentless but we'll see how the arc wraps b/c I'm...kinda wary. Only 4 eps left! #RurouniKenshin #KyotoDisturbance

"The Great Kyoto Fire Part 1" is the best #RurouniKenshin ep of the season. Kamatari's 'friendly fire' slicings set the tone for how serious the Juppongatana are. And Sanosuke, my boy, you the real MVP. Had Shishio shook! Aoshi catching Kenshin off guard at the end? Cinema!! #KyotoDisturbance

Cho vs. Kenshin is so malignant. 💚 Cho but he deserved it. The subsequent, moving flashback ep is fresh to me (did I miss it in the manga or is it based on a separate work?!); the dichotomy b/t the Battosai that Shakku knew & the freshly birthed rurouni is searing.

The OG series' OPs/EDs resonate so well, so it was crucial that the revival series kept pace with the quality.

10/10s across the board. Reol's "Edge" and "Chained" by Tatsuya Kitani/natori, have the ED and OP, respectively, crowns for now. #RurouniKenshin #KyotoDisturbance #animesky

Today called for all my calm, perspective, experience, wit and patience.

I am just happy and thankful that it is over, and I can move on with life.

I will be treating myself tonight, to the latest episode of #rurounikenshin #kyotodisturbance
