#LCR-Meter
Got myself one of those little component testers/identifiers from eBay - really useful! This thing can measure resistors, capacitors, BJTs, Mosfets and diodes, as well as measuring capacitor ESR. Works as an LCR meter too! #electronics

My set up for documenting donor carts for my wiki. I want to draw up replacement PCBs for all of them too lol

first project is a dielectric tester designed by a friend! the idea here is to sandwich a dielectric between the exposed copper plates with a fixed distance between them, and measure using an LCR meter at various frequencies! thanks @aisler.net

And going live in about an hour: Another metering device! A digital LCR meter this time. Join in if you have time! youtu.be/vUQcdUPTvag #youtube

Measured these with a small LCR meter and tested the capacitors self-discharge with an ohm meter.

They still look fine? Anyone good with imaginary impedances are free to check my work

If you're ever looking for a great LCR meter the deree is so amazing for the price the thing is super impressive! amzn.to/4xz8iBz

inductors are cool.

the electrolytic capacitors all appear to be ok. i've lifted one leg of each so i can test them out of circuit.

most of the passive parts i could measure using a LCR meter, but the ferrite beads stumped me until i realized you can measure them with a VNA! here's my custom jig to make that easier.

Prüf mal ob du mit einem Oszilloskop die Bauteile des PCB durchtesten kannst. Sonst vielleicht mit dem Schaltplan der Maschine und einem LCR-Meter mal prüfen.

There's plenty of pensioners with knowledge and necessary skills able to put together proprietary parts; in some cases test them (I have a full suite of test instruments, sig gens, spectrum analyser, Fluke 83 multimeters, LCR bridge, EM meter to start). I'd happily fill my time at home being useful.

That type of LCR meter is not very precise to begin with, it's probably the inaccuracies of both the caps and the meter working with each other to make it look worse than it actually is...

I've got only one Panasonic in the collection and it has some speed issues I never managed to figure out, despite swapping many parts from other mechs. It worked fine for a while, then just inexplicably developed the speed issue. It might be capacitor related but I need to get an LCR meter & check

What is an LCR meter? Do I need one?

I also want to see the dual display LCR meter.

How do you go about testing the ferrites? LCR meter?

I measured the resonant frequency of my pickups with my computer and Audacity, and their inductance and resistance with an LCR meter. This will allow more accurate ngspice modeling.

Neck: 10KHz. 5H, 8Kohm
Bridge: 6.5KHz, 9H, 15Kohm

This is with the coils in series and all pole pieces.

ooh I am interested! its the stupid LCR meter tweezers as well

Here we go! All the filter inductors are wound and soldered in! I tried my best to do an even and clean job... I did check them with the low cost LCR meter I have and they seem to be in the ballpark of the specified values. #hamradio #kitradio #mchf

Good! 150 turns was expectedly much more than needed, so good thing I have plenty of taps!

Assembling a humbucker. Just a few of the steps to putting a humbucker together, At the end I’m using an LCR meter to measure the inductance of these pickups, The bridge pickup is reading 7.49 henrys, it’s going to be a little dark, where the neck pickup at 3.51 henrys will be brighter.
