PIP and Universal Credit LCWRA are DIFFERENT things and serve DIFFERENT functions. Many are on LCWRA not PIP. They cannot be linked. This whole bill is unthought through, panicked and dangerous.

It's depressing we've gotten huge LCWRA cuts along with access to work cuts, like how are LCWRA claimants going back to work when all the easy office jobs are taken by AI *and* easy WFH jobs that do exist are de-facto outsourced to vastly poorer per capita countries?

The ‘not needing to seek work’ group (LCWRA) does NOT push people out of work. It exists to stop people from killing themselves or their health hugely deteriorating.

wtf is this bullshit?! I can’t afford to eat on full rate PIP & LCWRA because my disability costs are so huge. They should be providing PT & MH support w/o making disabled ppl pay for it. This is so disgusting & tone death. It feeds the myth of idleness rather than genuine disability.

Cut Winter Fuel Allowance and slashed LCWRA by £200 for all new claimants since April this year (the most disabled and means tested so by definition - the poorest) and wanted to introduce further cuts to disability payments. Left wing?

Of the 580,000 people on LCWRA but not PIP, 44% have mental health conditions. That’s 255,000 relying on £423.27/month to cover essentials like rent, utilities, and food—reducing financial stress, a huge trigger for mental health deterioration. #ProtectLCWRA. #WelfareNotWarfare

Disability assessments are notoriously incredibly traumatic and triggering. Many claimants have increased self-harm, suicidal ideation and sometimes hospitalisation before them. Imagine the pressure it would now be if 4 points ON ONE ITEM is necessary not just for PIP but LCWRA!

– Reassess existing ones
That means more fear, more poverty, more harm.
