It's concerning that someone who works in public health, thinks NGOs who serve marginalized communities should use language that is politically correct and not what demonstrates empathy to the group being served. If a LGTBQA+ org provides obgyn services, "people who menstruate", is accurate.

Yeah, especially since even the M/F pairings (ex. Cherrisnake, Lucilith, Charlastor, etc...) are mostly made up of LGTBQA+ characters. There's been a recent trend of labelling all M/F pairings as "hetslop". 💀

The Wizard of Oz MGM film already had a huge LGTBQA+ fandom. The novel the stage version was based on was written by a gay man and, from what I understand (never read the book), there was plenty of Glinda/Elphaba subtext in it. If there's one franchise that's had LGTBQA+ baked into it, it's Wicked.

Aside from everything else, "Before Obergefell no LGTBQA people had dignified futures, built lives with each other and lived openly outside of the 'margins of society'" is a horrifically disgusting thing to say
I really wish people would realize that "letting the polyamorous trans kinksters be queer damages my normal gayness" is just "but if we let GAYS get married, it will undermine the dignity of my NORMAL marriage" but with a rainbow on it.

So if anyone wants to dip their toe into the hockey world or NHL, here are a list of players and teams I’ve come to find being the most supportive of the LGTBQA community. They’ve all openly supported Pride Night or LGTBQA causes. Doesn’t hurt many of them are hot af too. So lust without guilt.

Love this thread! It shows that not everyone reduces Christianity to “evangelical, Catholic, or progressive”. There are many many denominational and independent expressions, both historically & currently.
(As an aside, some of my favorite people are lgtbqa folks who are ordained or lay leaders!)

CommUnity here in Johnson County held one of the LGTBQA 988 contracts and answered approximately 100,000 calls last year.
About 70,000 of those calls were from queer people. Seventy. Fucking. Percent.

Viv already answered this a while back, if I recall correctly. Vaggie was originally with Angel Dust, and Charlie didn't end up with anyone. She changed the story to be more LGTBQA+ inclusive and add representation. (Sir Pentious was originally going to have a crush on Rosie instead of Cherri Bomb.)
