Even assuming that there's no malfeasance, I'm not sure how anyone could trust these systems once they get back under real control until they've been gone over, dataset by dataset, volume by volume, LPAR by LPAR.

Today, they still do things kind of backward from everybody else. The full embrace of linux isn't everybody else's "we're hiding that we're running stuff on a linux layer", it's RedHat running on an LPAR with AIX on another, and i doing completely critical things on yet another.
