J got a call at the end of the workday today that there is finally a spot in LTC for his dad. He has been in hospital since early June and on the wait list for a room since early July. We will get more details about it tomorrow.

I understand that relief. My mom was forced into LTC after her knee gave out and she couldn't transfer to her wheelchair on her own any more. She'd had a few falls but somehow avoided breaking a hip! The last fall landed her in hospital until she went to LTC.
