I had an LTDII, it was my land yacht & also a bit of a tank. Great car to take to Dead shows, I could comfortably stretch out to sleep in the back seat.
Glad I don't have to be feeding it gas these days though!

My take is nuanced on this.
I think they HELPED the Colonnade/A-body specialty cars from GM. I think they HURT the B-body Chryslers. At Ford it didn't matter because they changed the whole exterior when going from Torino to LTDII.
