I really want Anglophone Christians to learn their own history and realize that *they* invented Anglophone secularism to stop them from killing each other and there is indeed an alternative: lacite.

There's that theory that the English are religiously tolerate because nobody had a majority, let me also theorize when you have a massively dominant religion like France or Turkey you end up doing lacite because the "Church" really can be very tyrannical.

Indeed! Anglo Secularism is for the benefit of Christians, its why they invented it. There's alternatives, & they're bad. On the one end Ireland with its quasi theocracy, on the end France with Lacite. But if I am forced to choose I will pick one. Christians don't even appreciate their own history.
No but seriously, the decline in Christian sectarianism is a huge problem, the whole edifice of religious freedom and secularism in the West is built on the idea that people needed neutral mediating institutions, and would accept compromises in service of that.

I think we're doing it too clumsily and giving away the game enough for the French to differentiate. E.g. the equivalent of lacité would have the DoD delete material on how African-Americans *as a group* contributed to the country, but it wouldnt delete material on people who happened to be black
