This was beautiful Torah to stumble across today. LabShul did a very moving reenactment / interpretation for the binding of Isaac during their Rosh Hashanah Storahtelling, and this dovetails with some of the the insights I had watching it.

Like I remember hearing someone at Labshul on Kol Nidre saying that the past few years have made them *more Zionist* and he was just some old guy whose logic was simply "I support a Jewish state, I have nothing against Palestinians/Arabs but the world doesn't seem to like us very much"-

I need to go join a Shul where this train of thought isn't controversial and I want it to be an actual house of worship. I really love Labshul but they don't have their own synagogue and I don't live in the city full time so I can't join B'nai Jeshurun or Kolot Chayeinu. I wish there were others...

I dunno, it seems over here in NYC at least that Labshul and JFREJ and Bend the Arc have no problem engaging with sympathetic non-Zionist queer and non-Jewish religious leaders and I'd rather spend my time organizing with them than arguing with the dumbfuck "religious discussion is banned-

I guess this would be more reason to get out of my home and attend more events at Labshul (like the Sabbath Queen/Chanukah Party I'm going to tomorrow night) and just go volunteer with JFREJ and Bend the Arc more so I'm online less, but I don't live in NYC full time so that's not always an option.
