Let's also not forget that a certain mentor/member of their crew is a transphobe who never took back their comments and the lackidaisy team defended them

Valorie made a good thread explaining the timeline of events regarding the situation with Lackidaisy.
Something of not is that these are not discord images, but twitter screancaps with timestamps. So unlike 80% of what is used against Viv, this one has more validity.

Some disclaimers.
This was a draft I made back in 2023 before I started actually cropping my screenshots which means that both the contents and images are otherwise being uploaded in their raw and originally intended form.

We'll get GTA6 before lackidaisy
Even with the animation takes a long time thing, how many episodes are they trying to make?

The only factual financial thing was when Viv donated 1,500 to Lackidaisy and once they made over their goal, they refunded that money
My theory is that prior, when viv made SH, the friend group she had with lackidaisy assumed she would use SH to help them, but when she didnt they felt betrayed

you'd think these people would use Lackidaisy to put down Viv since we know they got bad blood towards her

Ive mentioned before i had my own theory, So ill briefly say my own, i also think the same as elcee, but i feel the reason Viv is scapegpated is not only for this, but because she didnt financially back Lackidaisy or Glitch the way LD's team wanted or use SH to produce the other shows(1/2)
My tinfoil hat is Viv gets scapegoated in the indie space because she’s actually among the few to stick to her guns and drop most abusers and sex pests like hot potatoes, so they weaponize reputation to get the web hyper-focused on her flaws and offensive art and “fetishes,” if not PAST wrongdoings.

Lackidaisy defended a transphobe and still kept Mike Pollack after he supported Israel when they attacked Palestine.
Gabe getting protection in indie spaces isnt surprising, but just another brick :/

Had a silly little thought. What if Lackidaisy was set in the same world as SWAT Kats?

and that sucks, especially since Viv donated 1,500 to their project, she didn't have to, she had no obligation, but she wanted to help and they literally threw it back at her face
it's why i don't want to watch Lackidaisy and even Far-fetched, despite the latter looking like something i'd enjoy

and it's been well documented that Viv was called out for her transphobia back in 2016, but unlike the team at Lackidaisy who tried covering it up, she recognized what she did and became better
this is why so many people defend her against these accusations, but yet we're called d!ckriders for it

Every month so Twitter screams bloody murder at questionably real screenshots of Viv making transphobic statements from an unknown year, but willingly turns a blind eye at the Lackadaisy team covering up their own team member's transphobic allegations from just last year.

Most indie projects inspire us as they really show what you really can do with it and it's absolutely amazing how far it's come
One's in particular that inspire us big ones like
The Amazing Digital Circus
Helluva Boss
Hazbin Hotel
And Lackidaisy

Awesome to see the Lackidaisy animated series picked up by Glitch. I got to meet the creator, @lackadaisy.bsky.social right after the first volume of the webcomic got printed (2008-2009ish?) and she did this lovely drawing for me and wrote a very kind note. It's a cherished possession 🧡

it still gets me how viv is getting flack for Al when they've at least gone the extra mile to change his symbols to try and fix that, but i guess no one bats an eye with lackidaisy because it's less talked about and even more so that character. it's the price that came with Viv being the first indie

knowing Ze was a mentor to the lackidaisy team and what position she holds
i can't help but draw more comparisons to her and Chuck Jones, ONLY on the basis that like what Chuck had done in the animation industry, Ze did as well with her comment and actions.
She brought EGO to the indie scene :/

seriously, people assume the Viv 'rabbit hole" is disturbing but the lackidaisy one is like you said, pretty insidious with how it's got the front face of looking sweet and wholesome, but under the mask is something else

Ok, I was finally able to sit down and watch the Glitch Direct. And may I just say…
Holy smokes! Everything about it was amazing. From the TADC ep 7 preview, to the MD music video, to the Lackidaisy partnership is absolutely incredible.
