Our paper just dropped in the Journal of Neuroscience!

Most cultural AI benchmarks are text-only. The ones that do measure vision capabilities only test artifact recognition (foods, clothing, landmarks). Why? 🤔

Culturally situated non-verbal behaviors are rarely explicitly documented and hard to isolate in web-scale image data

Rest day itinerary: laundry, a meal you already know how to pronounce, and a chair. No landmarks. No lanyard required.

This isn't failing to appreciate the trip. It's you, correctly diagnosing that yesterday's forty-minute museum about municipal drainage was quite enough culture.

Travel Smart.

For today's #PalacesandGardens, one of the most (in)famous sites in DC: Watergate. Part office building, part hotel and part luxe residences, it's one of the most identifiable landmarks in the city.

Story consequences cannot *BREAK* your setting/world unless that is the explicit idea aka post apocalypse or grimdark which again will still fail without having something to fucking save lmao. Diablo as a setting struggles with this huge. D4 other than Nahantu and Skovos is *empty* of its landmarks

If a settings "consequences-stakes" are blowing up landmarks/cities every major narrative (or some sort of genocidal event the MCs of said setting cannot prevent, over and over) the setting has failed IDC. Fundamentally devolved into shock value with no payoff that leaves your world empty
Looking at Southshore, Dalaran, Theramore and whatnot in WoW Forever, man...

Retail has to start re-building or at least building on the old continents, man.

Like... I get it, the world needs consequences and the status quo should change, but it can't all be fucking craters and ruins.

The oddly specific landmarks that will actually tell you if you're looking in the correct direction are two houses on the hill that are sneakily visible in the actual scene 😂

I did take a video when we were early in our figuring-it-out journey, from a public access high point- we were focussed on those trees as landmarks, but all the actual filming sites were behind where I was standing at this point. Also, the wind was absolutely cracking and the sound is AWFUL, sorry!
