Oh dear, more LaserRot woes
The first DualDisc I’ve got with issues. Bubbles between the sides have spread & the discs are separating. Pic 2 shows the orange peel affect. CD side plays ok in most decks. DVD side is gone.

Oh dear, more LaserRot woes
The first DualDisc I’ve got with issues. Bubbles between the sides have spread & the discs are separating. Pic 2 shows the orange peel affect. CD side plays ok in most decks. DVD side is gone.

Because it's seems #WarnerBros ' #DVDRot / #LaserRot is buzzing again in the US... still waiting for a solution... (and my 'Warner Bros Home Entertainment Academy Awards Animation Collection' & 'Twilight Zone The movie' DVDs are also affected but not on the photo...)
OK, I have checked my #WarnerBros DVD collection and unfortunately all of these boxsets now are indeed unreadable/unplayable/rotted because of this pressing mistake making them defective after a couple of years.😡

Laserrot ist ja bekannt. Bei CDs hatte ich die ersten Ausfälle Ende 90er, wobei das halt auch abhängig von den Pressungen ist und nicht zwingend vom Medium.
Bei Modulen sehe ich da bisher weniger Gefahr, da tatsächlich eher geplatzte Elkos in den Konsolen oder halt ausgelaufene Batterien.

Yeah it seemed to be limited to a manufacturing defect on specific discs. I'd be curious to see how any of the old laserdiscs held up? I always heard about laserrot with those lol. I don't have a disc player anymore though.

Thought BBC only did 2 HD-DVDs, this & Planet Earth

Time to pull out my nice rare Kuraray repressing of Lost Highway on LaserDisc. All the originals were pressed by Sony DADC and have laserrot oxidation.
