Some of the latergame areas look so esoteric and alien because of it too. Its 100% a game that would actually lose a lot of its core if it was in higher fidelity

i liked monster hunter stories 2 a lot, some fun critters to get and a neat battle system that at least imo was fun to work with

beginner monsters are a lot weaker than the latergame monsters but they can still absolutely beat the game if you read the fights right, which isn't too hard

the framerate in some areas genuinely kinda hurts my eyes, thered a few latergame ones that are especially unfortunate

and latergame god bird attack is crazy long range for a universal delete button. having a map attack with a generous cone is always great, and his seishin set is amazing with innate sp regen. he just kinda Solves Problems

You're so real for that. Silksong is the perfect ragebait for me bc I ADORE its storytelling and art and music and everything, except I can't get to more bc I take like 5+ hours to beat simple bosses 💀. Oh boi I can't wait to see how you feel about latergame.

i feel like it's basically impossible for any class other than vampire to get out of the early game without crazy good RNG in the higher difficulties. but then vampire just insta-wins everything forever unless you have to fight the leech latergame.

it was my floor 1 boss so i knew i'd won the run.
