Anyone else enjoy the #LauraBow series? The Dagger of Amon Ra is a great game with some wonderful voice acting in the “talkie” version but I still thought overall that the Colonel’s Bequest was the better of the two. What did you think?

A scan of an early version of the cast screen in The Colonel's Bequest. Instead of a stage, the character sprites are shown on a blue background with an Art Deco border. Laura Bow's portrait at the bottom of the screen is different as well, and has a 1960s bouffant.

Turns out #LauraBow 2 has some wild differences in the floppy vs. CD backgrounds, on par with Space Quest 4 in some cases.

Almost all screens have at least some palette reduction on CD, but sometimes the changes are quite drastic.
